INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you give us. When you submit a rental application, we collect your full name, phone number, address, desired pickup date, rental length, vehicle type, how you plan to use the car (personal or gig), and any notes you add. You may also upload a photo or PDF of your driver's license and your insurance card. These uploads are optional on the website; you may bring them to pickup instead.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.
Calls. If you call us, we may keep notes about the call, including your name, number, and rental request.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information only to:
- Review and verify your application, including checking that your driver's license is valid
- Confirm vehicle availability and schedule your pickup
- Contact you about your application or rental
- Arrange insurance coverage and process payments
- Operate and secure our website, and prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to market unrelated products to you.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share information only when needed to run your rental:
- Insurance providers, to arrange or verify coverage
- Payment providers, to process deposits and weekly payments
- Service providers, such as website hosting, database, and file storage companies that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities or legal parties, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety
We do not sell your personal information.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep all application and rental information, including driver's licenses and insurance cards, indefinitely for our records, unless you ask us to delete it.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see "Your Choices and Rights").
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to applications and uploaded documents, and private file storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain.
