These Terms apply to your use of fleetliberty.com and to rental applications and rentals made through us. By using the site or applying to rent, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms summarize our rental program; the rental agreement you sign at pickup contains the full details and controls if the two differ.
APPLYING TO RENT
Submitting an application is a request, not a reservation. We confirm availability by phone, and no vehicle is held until we confirm it. To rent you must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and be legally able to drive in New Jersey. We verify your license before approval and may decline any application at our discretion. We do not run credit checks.
RENTAL BASICS
- Term: one-week minimum, then week to week.
- Rate: the weekly rate listed for your vehicle, billed weekly. Rates and availability can change before you sign.
- Deposit: $150, due with your first week's payment at pickup.
- Mileage: unlimited miles for personal or gig driving.
- Maintenance: we cover routine maintenance and roadside assistance, including oil, tires, and brakes from normal wear. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or an accident is not normal wear.
- Vehicle swaps: you may change vehicle or vehicle class with one week's notice, subject to availability.
- Pickup: by appointment, Sunday through Friday, at 800 US-9, Freehold, NJ 07728.
INSURANCE
You must have valid auto insurance in force for the whole rental. You may bring your own policy or add our liability coverage for $160 per week. Our coverage is liability coverage only. It does not cover damage to the rental vehicle, your own injuries, or your belongings. If you bring your own policy, you must give us proof of coverage before pickup and keep it active. You are responsible for any loss not paid by insurance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
During the rental you agree to:
- Drive the vehicle only yourself or with drivers we have approved in writing
- Use the vehicle lawfully and keep a valid license
- Pay all tolls, parking tickets, traffic violations, and fines; tolls are always the renter's responsibility
- Keep the vehicle clean, locked, and secured, and not smoke in it
- Report any accident, theft, damage, or breakdown to us immediately, and to the police when required
- Not sublet, sell, or modify the vehicle, or take it outside the United States (travel to other states is allowed)
- Return the vehicle in the condition you received it, apart from normal wear
You are responsible for damage, loss, or theft that occurs during your rental to the extent not covered by insurance, and for cleaning or repair costs caused by misuse.
PAYMENTS, LATE PAYMENTS, AND THE DEPOSIT
Payment is due weekly in advance. If a payment is late, we may charge a late fee of $50 per day, suspend your rental, and require the vehicle to be returned. If you do not pay, we have the right to repossess the vehicle. We may also keep payment methods on file and charge them for amounts you owe under your rental agreement. We return your deposit when the vehicle is returned, minus any amounts you owe for damage, unpaid rent, fines, tolls, or fees.
ENDING A RENTAL
You may end your rental at any time by returning the vehicle to us; no advance notice is required. The one-week minimum still applies, and you remain responsible for any amounts owed. We may end a rental and require immediate return if you break these Terms or the rental agreement, if your license or insurance lapses, if payment is missed, or if we believe the vehicle is being used unsafely or unlawfully.
RIDESHARE AND DELIVERY PLATFORMS
We provide rental vehicles only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Amazon Flex, Postmates, Shipt, Spark Driver, Roadie, or any other platform. Their names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to show the kinds of driving our customers do. You are responsible for meeting each platform's own vehicle and driver requirements. We do not guarantee that any platform will accept you or the vehicle.
WEBSITE USE
You agree not to misuse the site, including submitting false or another person's information, attempting to break into or disrupt it, using bots or automated tools to submit applications, or uploading malicious files. We may block access or remove submissions that violate this rule. The site's content, photos, and branding belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied without permission. Vehicle photos and descriptions are for illustration, and the vehicle you receive may differ in minor details.
DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITS OF LIABILITY
The website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost income or lost work opportunities, arising from your use of the site or a rental. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless the law requires otherwise.
CHANGES
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they were last changed.
